What a lovely surprise to be mentioned for my “Josephine” in this wonderfully written and researched book by Kurt Ganzl, published in 2021. It is a must read for any Gilbert and Sullivan fans with fabulous period photos of the “stars” from some of the very early productions. After a fascinating chapter on the history of HMS Pinafore , Kurt ends with a lovely endorsement of the fun filled production from Dublin which we toured to Belfast Opera House, Manchester Opera House and The Old Vic Theatre, London.
