Hello & Welcome
The Autumn and Winter 2026/27 season is shaping up to include lots of the varied repertoire and styles that I enjoy performing. Please keep checking the schedule pages for upcoming performances.
The end of spring and summer brought some exciting new “firsts” for me, which were particularly inspiring.
I was invited to sing with some of candidates for the new resident Conductor position at the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Rehearsing and performing the same song with conductors from different countries and backgrounds was both exciting and invigorating. I’m glad I didn’t have to make the final decision! Good luck, and welcome to whoever is chosen.
I also acted in my first “open-air” play—a Canadian production of the iconic Little Women, in which I played Mrs. “Marmee” March. I couldn’t have wished for a nicer group of actors. I have performed many concerts in open-air venues—even once in the middle of a lake!—but the intimacy of performing a play, especially in terrifically hot weather, was a very different experience.
In June, I was privileged to rejoin the outstanding faculty at the wonderful Nuova Vocal Arts programme. I had the pleasure of working with their talented and enthusiastic singers as they prepared Mozart’s Così fan tutte, a new opera, Speed Dating, and the glorious musical Brigadoon.
The hot weather continued in Europe, where I enjoyed two orchestral concerts by the sea, featuring the music of Cole Porter (It’s De-Lovely) and Rodgers and Hammerstein (Some Enchanted Evening).
The photo pages of this website now include images from the world premiere of the play Bess the Commoner Queen and other performances in Tokyo, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Carnegie Hall, Bermuda, St Martin-in-the Fields
